Hi there! My name is Brittney Kinsey. Welcome!
I am originally from south Mississippi and now reside in Minneapolis, MN where I work full time at a church as a Worship Pastor. I love what I do, the life that I have and the opportunities I’ve been blessed to experience.
As a girl raised in the south, I grew up eating the traditional southern foods: fried chicken, sweet tea, sugar in everything, all the amazing casseroles, etc. And it was DELICIOUS. As I began to come in to my own as an adult and learning how to cook for myself, I found that there are many different ways to approach food and diet. One of those was the Whole 30. I completed my first Whole 30 in 2017 and it totally changed me! I felt amazing, slept better, lost weight, had more energy, and I quickly became obsessed with this lifestyle and learning how to care for myself through food. I feel my best on a modified Paleo diet, but I have recently come into some gut issues that I am trying to navigate naturally with my doctor. I now eat Paleo but with some foods eliminated to see if that helps my struggles.
I truly believe that food heals, but it is also meant to be fun and enjoyed. I love eating (of course) and cooking, but I also love sharing what I am learning and making, so I hope that you find something in this little blog that is helpful to you!
